You big tease!
Shoot him now! Seriously. Someone else is going to die if you don't.

Fairportfan 14th Oct 2014, 1:20 AM edit delete reply

It's cyber-enhanced soldier season! Shoot him now!
Centcomm 14th Oct 2014, 1:41 AM edit delete reply

LOL shes gonna try..
CptKerion 14th Oct 2014, 1:46 AM edit delete reply
Plan B, someone get a roll of duct tape.
Stormwind13 14th Oct 2014, 4:42 PM edit delete reply

Duct tape is great for many applications, Cpt; however, I think it is going to take something MORE than that to save Captain Kiku.
Haegan2005 14th Oct 2014, 12:05 AM edit delete reply

Well done! The visual scene, the text, and the action!

This will turn out worse for the good colonel then he thinks. She has a lot of bullets in that gun. If she empties it, she can probably deleg, dearm, and disarm... Now that is an image. I think I just grossed myself out.
Centcomm 14th Oct 2014, 12:09 AM edit delete reply

Thank you -- I really enjoyed putting this segment togather.. :D
Stormwind13 14th Oct 2014, 4:43 PM edit delete reply

Sadist! You ENJOY blowing holes in beautiful young women? We should all HATE you. :-)
Haegan2005 14th Oct 2014, 9:30 PM edit delete reply

Well, to be fair, she is Roses friend... ;D
Stormwind13 15th Oct 2014, 6:04 PM edit delete reply

Sigh. True, Haegan.
jamie59 14th Oct 2014, 12:10 AM edit delete reply

Can't she use her right.
Hope the insentive is from after this.
Centcomm 14th Oct 2014, 12:19 AM edit delete reply

Shes trying to stop the bleeding.. well what she can.. considering the wound is a though and though..
Dragonrider 14th Oct 2014, 1:08 AM edit delete reply

Once someone stops him, looks like the only way will be to put one in his head, bet Cent Com has a fail safe to trigger the explosives if he goes down. I know I would if I was as paranoid as Cent-Com is at this point.
Centcomm 14th Oct 2014, 1:41 AM edit delete reply

sadly .. he does not have a kill switch. or explosives.. :P
Dragonrider 14th Oct 2014, 1:52 AM edit delete reply

Kill switch will have to be external, 1 full metal jacket boatail slug to the skull and I would have a bio metric trigger assembly in the on board explosives once the Colonels life signs stop the explosives go bang bang.

Just sunk in, Colonel Taylor...
By any chance is he the ancestor of some major characters in another comic you have have heard of? coughdatachaserscough
Centcomm 14th Oct 2014, 1:40 AM edit delete reply

One in the same :D there is another ancestor here too :D
CptKerion 14th Oct 2014, 1:45 AM edit delete reply
I'm trying to [edit]remember[edit] whether he mentioned having a family back when introduced, I think he did.

Edit: that is what I get for thinking about something else I'm typing while typing

cattservant 14th Oct 2014, 2:45 AM edit delete reply

Miraiko's honorable ancestor?
Centcomm 14th Oct 2014, 3:24 AM edit delete reply

That would be it..
CptKerion 14th Oct 2014, 7:02 PM edit delete reply
Alright, so his survival odds just dropped through the floor.
Timotheus 14th Oct 2014, 5:04 AM edit delete reply

You know, I still swear the colonel's holster and hands are empty of a side arm after shooting the robot way back then (09/09/14). But it's not my story.
Tokyo Rose 14th Oct 2014, 10:10 AM edit delete reply

The gun's been present ever since he shoved it back into the holster between frames. It's true that in the last panel of 09/09/14 ("Broken arrow"), it's hidden by the motion blur, angle, and shadows, but it is present.

On 09/18/14 ("RED ALERT!!!"), you can see the holstered gun in panels 1 and 3.
It's clearer on the next page ("Wall-to-wall counseling.") in panel 3.
The second panel of 09/30/14 ("More than Human") shows the butt of it--and of the Colonel, for that matter--close to the viewer's angle.
10/02/14 ("Juggernaut") displays it in the seventh panel.
The third panel of 10/07/14 ("Water into fire") again shows it closer to the viewer's angle as Taylor lands on his back, though it's nearly obscured by the sound effect.
It's visible at the bottom edge of the second panel for 10/07/14 ("Dead bang"), as well as being the center of focus in the fourth panel.
Timotheus 14th Oct 2014, 3:06 PM edit delete reply

Just finished rereading the story and was reminded of that earlier comment. So I re-said it. But it's YOUR continuity.
Centcomm 14th Oct 2014, 3:18 PM edit delete reply

Speaking as the artist. I want to thank you for reading.. and give you a bit of a funny side story. when I was shooting this the model for Taylor actually has 2 gun props one attached to his hand and one in the holster basically to have him draw it I make one invisible and the other visible. ect..ect. story wise.. Taylor never lost his gun however I think for ONE frame I forgot to turn on the gun in the holster I would have to carefully check to make sure. This isn't meant to "cover our butts" on a mistake.. things happen.. and so do errors. Suffice it to say that Taylor had the gun all along . Sorry for any confusion.
Tokyo Rose 14th Oct 2014, 7:24 PM edit delete reply

Well, now I want a pic of Taylor posing as though he's got the weapon in hand or in the holster, just so I can caption it "INVISIBLE GUN" like he's a lolcat.
Centcomm 14th Oct 2014, 7:43 PM edit delete reply

I can do that.. :D
plymayer 14th Oct 2014, 8:30 AM edit delete reply

She keeps warning. He keeps ignoring.
FJames56 14th Oct 2014, 10:48 AM edit delete reply
What if he is correct about what he sees? Just sayin'...
Stormwind13 14th Oct 2014, 5:00 PM edit delete reply

Then he is acting entirely as he should, FJames; however, the fact that his own combat computer and Captain Kiku BOTH say he is seeing non-existent threats could mean the error is his not theirs. And he doesn't even seem to THINK about that.

Now he is probably off to destroy the alien ship and probably the Luna Star to prevent them from 'taking' over (AM-Com 3C AIS). The Colonel's mission (in part) is to ensure the aliens are neutralized. :-p
Centcomm 14th Oct 2014, 6:00 PM edit delete reply

Thats what is causing most of the problem.. if the col is compromised then the mission is a bust. ( in his eyes ) and on the chance that he IS not seeing things correctly .. hes afraid that if he DOES not act then it WILL be true and they will lose everyone .. Now Kiku attacked him ( in his eyes ) so she obviously must be mind controlled.. >_< its a very bad cycle.. and sadly the more cyberware the worse it hits.. Jet explained why Galina isn't affected earlier.. a lot it has to do with the Quantum processors and Positronics that make up Galina.
Matt Knab 14th Oct 2014, 4:58 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, the time for warnings is waaaay past. Don't warn him, just shoot if you can.
Centcomm 14th Oct 2014, 6:00 PM edit delete reply

Shes gonna try.. :D
CptKerion 14th Oct 2014, 11:57 PM edit delete reply
Is something of that caliber going to do anything but piss him off?
Centcomm 15th Oct 2014, 12:45 AM edit delete reply

guess we will find out.. huh?
mjkj 15th Oct 2014, 7:08 AM edit delete reply

Nice incentive :D

Poor Captain Kiku...
